I will be updating this post periodically. September 8, 2019: The ability to experience nature I am grateful for the fact that I can walk down a trail, hear water rushing by, see into the vast expanse that is the interior of Alaska, smell decaying leaves and wet dirt as fall makes her presence known, and feel the brisk but (at least currently) forgiving breeze, carrying me deeper into the wilderness.

Well that was an exhausting but really fun two weeks. I just finished (well not quite “just finished”- I’ve had a week of classes as well but no time to blog- more on that later) orientation for Colorado State University’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Usually orientation is a week long, but I am in the UAF/CSU combined program, which means went to two orientations! My first week consisted of the UAF portion of orientation.
